Personal Statement

I believe in an integrative approach to patient care that sees a patient as a whole person, not just a condition. I practice with curiosity, empathy, and compassion. I draw inspiration from the classical texts of Chinese Medicine, as well as current research into pain, anatomy, and physiology. I believe that the body holds on to the past, which can manifest in many forms of chronic illness, and that everyone’s experience is unique. I want to hear your story.

Biographical Info

Tim Fatato’s journey to acupuncture started as a teenager with an interest in Eastern philosophy and traditional Martial arts, which cultivated a deep fascination of the mind and body. His acupuncture is influenced by his long-term Qi Gong practice, which he regularly brings to New York Presbyterian’s Integrative Health through classes for patients. He specializes in Tui Na (Chinese Medical Massage) and will often utilize the hands-on techniques for diagnostic and treatment purposes.

Tim is a graduate of Pacific College of Health and Science, where he has since served as a  professor training future acupuncturists.  He continued his post-graduate studies in the treatment of pain and neurological conditions. Prior to joining 91Â鶹¾«Æ·, Tim worked in community clinics in Brooklyn, had a private practice in Manhattan, and volunteered at NYU Langone Brooklyn’s in-patient stroke recovery.
